Dermot Doherty

Founder & Chief Technology Officer

dermot-100x120Dermot Doherty, recently named the global, 2013 Developer of the Year by the Cloud Computing Awards, has a wealth of experience, specializing in object-oriented programming, web standards, Internet security, and e-commerce. Having participated as a software engineer in high-tech ventures throughout his career, Dermot has worked as a software architect and developer for multiple enterprise-grade business and consumer platforms including Milo, Inc., Digital Mandate, Voxeo, and EuroXchanger. The founder of Irish Dictionary Online, the leading resource for Irish-English translations on the Internet, Dermot has also developed algorithms for two patented technologies and taught advanced web applications at University of California, Berkeley. A graduate of Northern Ireland’s University of Ulster with a master’s degree in Computing and Information Systems, Dermot played six years of professional soccer in the Irish League. Now that iSpaces has simplified his digital life and he finds extra time in his day, Dermot continues to kick the ball around with his local team.

Sunne Justice

President and Co-Founder

sunne-100x120A global citizen, Sunne Justice has lived and worked all over the U.S., as well as Central America. She brings a wealth of creative vision and experience to iSpaces, including expertise in management, marketing, sales, communications, and branding. Prior to co-founding iSpaces, Sunne held the position of Chief Pollinator at Burt’s Bees for 12 years, where she created the cult that drove the company to its position as the world’s leading natural skin care company. Previously, she worked as Vice President of Communications for Gryphon Development, where she was an integral part of the team that launched the Bath and Body Work’s chain and the Victoria’s Secret Bath Shops. Living many lifetimes already; from former model and fashion mogul to art collector, temple builder and meditation guide, Sunne is notoriously passionate about supporting causes she believes in. Now that iSpaces has simplified her digital life and she finds extra time in her day, you can count on Sunne to brighten up the world as she focuses her efforts on spiritual service.

Guillermo Söhnlein

Business Advisor & Co-Founder

Guillermo-Sohnlein-100x120Guillermo Söhnlein has spent over twelve years in leadership roles with various technology startups, entrepreneur organizations, and technology development programs in Silicon Valley and Washington, DC. In addition to iSpaces, he is currently co-founder and CEO of Seattle-based OceanGate, a nonprofit organization focused on expanding humanity’s understanding and appreciation of the world’s oceans through exploration and outreach. He was previously founder of the International Association of Space Entrepreneurs, as well as Space Angels Network, a national group of accredited investors focused on early-stage aerospace ventures. Guillermo first connected with Dermot after co-founding Milo, a San Francisco-based speech recognition application development firm that was acquired in 2001. He earned an A.B. in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley and a J.D. from the University of California Hastings College of the Law. Now that iSpaces has simplified his digital life, Guillermo enjoys spending quality time with his three young kids and exploring the ocean depths with his manned submersible.
